Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Back 2 Back Gymnastics, from classes and memberships to what to wear and what to expect.

Getting Started

Where is Back 2 Back Gymnastics Club?

We are based at Unit 4, Walton Industrial Estate, Beacon Road, Stone, ST15 0NN.

What classes do you offer?

We offer a range of gymnastics classes for different ages and abilities, from pre-school sessions through to recreational, development and adult classes.

How do I know which class is right for my child?

Our classes are organised by age and ability. We welcome beginners as well as children with previous gymnastics experience. If you’re unsure which class would be most suitable, please get in touch and our team will be happy to help.

Do you offer free taster sessions?

As many of our classes are already full, we have limited availability for taster sessions. We keep our classes to a maximum of eight children per coach to ensure every gymnast receives the attention and support they need.

Our Classes

What are your pre-school classes like?

Our pre-school classes are designed for children aged 2–4 years and combine music, movement and fun with activities that develop balance, strength and co-ordination. Children also learn valuable skills such as listening, following instructions and working together.

These are independent sessions, although parents and carers can enter the gym to support children who may feel nervous.

Do you offer parent and toddler sessions?

Yes. Our parent/carer toddler sessions are designed for children who benefit from having a familiar adult nearby. The sessions follow a similar format to our pre-school classes, with parents or carers able to remain in the gym and support their child throughout.

What are your recreational classes?

Our recreational classes are available for children aged 4–16 years and are arranged by age group. We welcome complete beginners as well as children who already have gymnastics experience.

Do you offer advanced or development classes?

We offer additional group sessions for children who demonstrate exceptional talent or a strong commitment to developing their gymnastics. These sessions provide additional coaching and training throughout the week.

Places are limited, and selection is based on the gymnast’s ability, commitment and suitability for the group.

Do you offer adult gymnastics classes?

Yes. Our adult classes run once a week and are open to everyone, regardless of ability or previous experience. They are a fun way to learn gymnastics, keep active and try something different.

Membership & Fees

How much do gymnastics classes cost?

Our weekly one-hour classes are currently:

Pre-School – £38 per month
Recreational – £38 per month

Monthly payments are spread across 12 months and are made by direct debit through Glofox. There is no contract or fixed tie-in period.

Do you offer sibling discounts?

No. Payments are made individually for each gymnast and we do not currently offer sibling discounts.

What happens during school holidays?

We close for two weeks at Christmas, two weeks at Easter and four weeks during August.

Do I have to pay if my child misses a class?

Yes. Refunds are not issued for missed classes. Due to our class capacity, we are also unable to offer alternative sessions if your child cannot attend their usual class.

How are fees calculated for non-recreational groups?

Fees for gymnasts attending non-recreational groups for multiple hours each week are calculated individually based on the group and training requirements.

Booking & Membership

How do I book a class?

Bookings are completed over the phone. Please call 07432 658649 for more information about availability and joining a class.

How do I cancel my membership?

There is no notice period required to cancel your membership. However, we ask that you contact us by email to let us know so that we can ensure your membership is correctly closed on Glofox and no further payments are requested.

What to Wear

What should my child wear for gymnastics?

Gymnasts can wear leggings or shorts with a T-shirt or vest top, or a leotard.

For safety, long hair should be tied back neatly and all jewellery must be removed before entering the gym.

Do I need to buy a club leotard?

No. Our club leotard is not compulsory unless your child progresses to competition level.

Club kit can be purchased through our kit supplier, Tailored Branding.

British Gymnastics

Are you affiliated with British Gymnastics?

Yes. Back2Back Gymnastics is affiliated with British Gymnastics, and our coaches either hold British Gymnastics coaching qualifications or are working towards them through accredited courses.

Does my child need British Gymnastics membership?

Yes. All gymnasts are required to have a valid British Gymnastics membership when joining the club. Membership provides insurance cover and access to additional information and resources to support gymnasts.

You can find more information about membership on the British Gymnastics website.

Why is British Gymnastics membership required?

Membership ensures that gymnasts have the appropriate insurance cover when taking part in gymnastics sessions. It also supports the wider development and regulation of gymnastics across the UK.

Our Gym

What facilities do you have?

Our purpose-designed gym was developed with the assistance of Gymnova and fitted with new equipment in 2017.

Our facilities include:

Sprung floor

Vaults
Tumble track
Additional developmental equipment

We regularly invest in our equipment and facilities to provide our gymnasts with the best possible environment to learn and progress.

Do you offer birthday parties?

Yes! We offer gymnastics birthday parties for both Back2Back members and non-members.

Our parties provide a fun and active way to celebrate, with time in the gym followed by time for a birthday tea.
